CATHERINE CROWLEY
"My name is Catherine Crowley, and I'm a spiritual psychic medium. It is said that not all psychics are mediums, but all mediums are psychics. A psychic is one who knows the past, present, and future. A medium communicates with the spirit world.
I was born with the ability to communicate with spirit, mainly loved ones who have crossed over, I can see, hear and feel them. I recall using my abilities around the age of four. At the time it had my parents very concerned and looking for answers. It wasn't until the age of fifteen, while volunteering at a nursing home, that an experience had me starting my own journey to understand what was happening. I was approaching by a nun at at the nursing home who told me I had "a very special gift" and "God had a plan for my life, and I was not to be afraid."
Years later I started giving readings. I've been enjoying doing so for the last 35 years. It is with much compassion and gratitude that I offer my gift helping others connect with friends and loved ones who have crossed over."

Thank you to Bu Tu for your ongoing mural work. Bu was chosen through our open call for artists earlier this year. We chose her design as we we drawn to the water theme and her whimsical design. Bu uses the natural world as her muse and it is a reoccurring theme in her work. She is also inspired by philosophy, science, conservationism, psychology, and cartoons. She spent many summers at Walnut Beach while attending the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven and the Art Institute of Chicago. Great Job Bu! We love what you have brought to the neighborhood.
The Farmers Market at Walnut Beach is taking a vacation until Summer 2026 when you'll find us in a new and better location. Keep posted for details.
We celebrate the summer solstice on June 21st with fairies young and old taking over Walnut Beach adding a little extra magic to the area. Children of all ages come dressed in wings to take part in the "fairy door challenge" where they are registered with their very own fairy name, given a map of hidden fairy doors, and let loose to visit participating businesses and chosen public areas to locate and log all the fairy doors they can while collecting small tokens at businesses or leaving small tokens at fairy houses. It is a day full of magic and what childhood memories are made of
