Every Thursday from June 20th to September 12th we welcome you to come to the Rotary Pavilion in the Walnut Beach Parking lot to shop and discover must have, fresh, locally grown, farmed produce as well as plants, flowers, herbs and more. We also offer food trucks, live music, local business and craft vendors, artisans, pet supplies and much more! In addition to the market you can take part in a crop share or "farm box" stocked full of produce weekly, delivered to the pavilion and ready for pick up.
We celebrate the summer solstice (June 21) with fairies young and old taking over Walnut Beach adding a little extra magic to the area. Children of all ages come dressed in wings to take part in the "fairy door challenge" where they are registered with their very own fairy name, given a map of hidden fairy doors, and sent around to participating businesses and chosen public areas to locate and log all the fairy doors they can while collecting small tokens at businesses or leaving small tokens at fairy houses. It is a day full of magic and what childhood memories are made of.
The Third Thursday of summer months, our Walnut Beach Archway or "Town Green" is transformed into a dance floor with DJ Extraordinaire Brian Smith providing music and you providing the dancing. Sometimes we offer professional instruction, past events include Salsa dance instruction, Line dance instruction, Irish dance performers as well as hulu hooping events and more.
